Located in Fayetteville, Georgia, S&S Greenhouses, or SSG, was founded by Mr. Woody Shelnutt in 1974 as a small greenhouse operation.
At that time, SSG grew and sold seasonal annuals and blooming plants for the hotel and office building market in the Atlanta area. As the greenhouse operation grew, Mr. Shelnutt saw the need for professional interior landscape design, installation, and maintenance. In 1976, the company opened its interior plant landscaping ('plantscaping') division servicing commercial office buildings and hotels throughout the Atlanta area. The Greenhouse Division and the Interior Landscape Division flourished for 21 years. In 1998, the second generation took the reins.
Heath & Sonya Millians have continued the legacy and vision of Woody Shelnutt's "Never Grow too fast to sacrifice your quality of service" and slowly added a new division to enhance the overall service offerings. In 2003, Mr. Millians was asked by many customers to provide commercial holiday decorations. The Holiday Decor Division installs, maintains, and removes holiday decorations in shopping malls, large hotels, and corporate office buildings.
In 2010, SSG added the Exterior Landscaping Division to focus on the design, installation, and maintenance of commercial exterior landscapes. Adding the Exterior Landscaping Division helps our customers create an inclusive, multidimensional green design from the exterior to the interior.
